Warrior Minerals (WM) is developing Turkey as a strategic sourcing base for Bauxite, with the objective of supplying reliable and commercially competitive material to customers in India and other international markets.
Bauxite is the world’s principal ore of aluminium. It is a naturally occurring material composed predominantly of aluminium hydroxide minerals—principally gibbsite, boehmite and diaspore—together with varying quantities of iron oxide, silica, titania and other impurities. Approximately 85% of global bauxite production is ultimately used for manufacture of alumina, which is subsequently converted into aluminium metal.

Turkey as a Strategic Source
Turkey possesses an established and diversified mining industry and is recognised by the U.S. Geological Survey as a significant global producer of bauxite and alumina. Bauxite is also identified among Turkey’s important mineral exports.
Turkey’s relevance as an international bauxite supplier is demonstrated by trade flows: according to the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026, Turkey accounted for approximately 16% of U.S. bauxite imports during 2021–2024, making it the second-largest source in that import mix after Jamaica.
Turkey also hosts important bauxite deposits, including the Doğankuzu and Mortaş deposits in the Taurides, which are described as karst-related bauxite deposits associated with limestone.
WM Procurement & Supply Capability
Warrior Minerals is developing relationships with Turkish miners, mine owners, processors and established suppliers with the objective of creating a dependable mine-to-market supply chain for Bauxite.
WM’s procurement approach focuses on:
- Direct/near-source procurement from qualified Turkish producers and suppliers;
- Identification of bauxite suitable for the buyer’s intended application;
- Representative sampling and verification of Al₂O₃, SiO₂, Fe₂O₃, TiO₂, moisture and other relevant parameters;
- Independent laboratory analysis/COA prior to commercial shipment, where required;
- Commercial negotiation and aggregation of quantities;
- Coordination of inland transportation, stockpiling and port logistics;
- Export documentation and customs coordination; and
- Containerised and/or bulk shipment depending upon quantity and buyer requirements.

Grades & Applications
Depending upon mine availability and buyer specifications, WM intends to procure and supply raw/crude and beneficiated bauxite, including material suitable for different industrial applications.
Bauxite is commercially classified according to its end use, including metallurgical, refractory, abrasive, cement and chemical grades.
- Metallurgical Grade: Primarily used for production of alumina through the Bayer Process, with alumina subsequently serving as the principal raw material for aluminium production.
- Refractory / Calcination Feed: Selected higher-alumina bauxite can be processed for refractory applications, subject particularly to alumina, silica, iron and other impurity specifications.
- Cement Grade: Suitable bauxite may be used as an alumina-bearing raw material in specialised cement and high-alumina cement applications.
- Abrasive & Industrial Applications: Appropriate grades, after processing/calcination where required, can serve specialised abrasive and other industrial mineral applications.
WM — Turkey to Global Markets
Warrior Minerals seeks to function as more than a conventional trader. Our objective is to establish a transparent mine-to-buyer procurement chain, integrating:
Turkish Mine/Producer → Due Diligence → Sampling & Assay → Buyer Approval → Procurement → Inland Logistics → Export Documentation → Port → International Buyer
Through its developing network in Turkey, Warrior Minerals aims to provide international customers with a reliable alternative source of Bauxite, supported by quality verification, transparent documentation, competitive commercial terms and coordinated international logistics.
